This project saw the conversion of two warehouses into a fully operational resilient data centre capable of delivering 2.4 MW IT load.

New electrical infrastructure installation was brought to site in the form of six new 1.5 MW transformers, backup LV generators, and associated LV distribution / UPS, providing distributed redundancy to new white space areas accommodating approximately 700 new IT cabinets. Two new substation buildings were constructed as part of the works to accommodate all new RMUs and transformers. The existing floor structure was excavated, allowing a new 800 mm floor void at ground level. A new structural mezzanine was constructed to accommodate the new data halls. A new external gantry was also erected over the existing docking bays to accommodate the new chiller compound.

Black & White actively worked together with the MEP trade contractor to provide full local authority / utility liaison services, final MEP plant selection assessments, coordination of working model and drawings production, as well as the full site supervision duties during the installation and commissioning.
