Madrid Data Centre

Black & White was responsible for the design of the 18 MW data centre campus, from masterplanning through to RIBA Stage 4. Black & White’s scope covered lead designer responsibilities, including the management of the wider multi-discipline design team and the MEP design for all RIBA Stages.

The building features a double-storey data centre level, with chillers and generators located on either sides of the facility, and office and admin areas located at the front side of the building as you enter the campus. The design was optimised to allow varying end-customer specifications to be accommodated within a cold structural shell, giving maximum flexibility for the building.
