Baku Knightsbridge is a high-end $300 million low-rise residential development located in Baku, Azerbaijan, designed to British standards. The development consists of five residential courtyards, each comprising of two basement car park levels and seven storeys of apartments built to a Knightsbridge style. The building service design within each courtyard includes 35 kV / 400 V substations, generators serving life safety equipment, complete building services within basement, risers and common circulation spaces, as well as grey box (shell) apartment allowances.
One of the key challenges faced throughout this project has been ensuring the clients request for total layout flexibility is met. With the Baku market yet to be tested, Black & White designed the services ensuring each courtyard could serve anything from larger apartments to smaller units.
