Black & White’s company-wide CIBSE membership

As a member of the directory we are required to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct in accordance with the CIBSE Code of Conduct, providing clients with confidence when working with CIBSE accredited organisations.

Alongside our company registration, B&W actively support CIBSE in both the UK and UAE.

In the UK, Director Steven Horn has been a member of the CIBSE CPD panel for the past five years. The CIBSE CPD panel audits company presentations before they can join the CIBSE accredited directory and the panel also undertakes an annual audit of CIBSE members’ CPD records for compliance with the Engineering Council.

Phillip Hilton-West is a member of the CIBSE North East committee which supports and promotes CIBSE in the North East of England.

Our Associate Director Jamie Darragh was elected as a member of the UAE CIBSE Committee and Technical Committee during the 2018 AGM.

The CIBSE UAE region was officially launched in April 2016, at an event attended by the CIBSE president, CEO and the director of membership and was the first region to be established in 29 years.

Last year, the Abu Dhabi Chapter and SoPHE UAE were added to it’s SSL, YEN UAE and WIBSE subcommittees. The Abu Dhabi Chapter is chaired by our principal engineer Daniel Williams, further demonstrating Black & White’s commitment to CIBSE in the regions we work.

As part of our Global Technical Committee we continue to support professional development and registration with professional engineering bodies and the Engineering Council UK, with many of our engineers achieving Chartered (CEng) and Incorporated (IEng) engineer status.
