Following last week’s news about our award nominations we are excited to announce further recognition from the industry. We have been shortlisted for the following Construction Week Awards:
- Sub Consultant of the Year: Black & White Engineering
- Engineer of the Year: Errol Ruddock
- Project Manager of the Year: Jean-Pierre Hamel
Construction Week are looking for the Sub Consultancy that has demonstrated how it has added value for its client by providing specialised expertise for a project, whilst also delivering on-time, and within budget. Black & White Engineering have been nominated for their expertise in the design and build of several major UAE- based data centres.
“As our industry faces a downward pressure on fees, consultants cannot afford the required detailed engineering analysis to derive the optimum solution without suffering project overspend. They are forced into compromise to adopt solutions that are quicker to design yet often more expensive to implement. This is evident in the very high levels of over design we are seeing. At Black & White we believe in “what is right is right” and will not sway from our path. There are enough informed clients to understand this true value that we offer.” explains Mick Cairns, CEO.
Both Errol and Jean-Pierre have over 50 years of experience between them. Initially based in the UK, Errol is now completing his 11th year in the Middle East. Jean Pierre has a wealth of experience in the project management of complex, multi-disciplinary projects. “I am proud that we not only continue to hold onto our talent, but to successfully grow as a team” comments Mick, “we have created a culture of excellence in design and service which consistently delivers 90% repeat / referral business. These award recognitions are testament to the exceptional quality of our team.”
The Middle East’s top construction projects, companies, individuals, and initiatives will be revealed at an award ceremony at the JW Marriott Marquise Dubai in December 2019.
