Junior Architect

Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, with nearly 400 employees in teams based in our UK, European, Middle East and Asia Pacific offices. We have been providing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultancy services since 2007.

Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

• Monitors scope of works during project delivery and ensures work tasks are within our scope
• Follows project documentation programme
• Reports changes, extensions, or delays to the documentation programme
• Ensure timely delivery of submission packages in accordance with your assigned work tasks and program milestone requirements
• Ensure quality and level of content for drawing production based on our drawing standards and client expectations
• Follow company standard and policy and ensure consistency and standardization
• Develop company exemplar set of drawings for reference on future projects
• Providing technical design support to the designers for new build, refurbishment and alterations of construction projects including the space around the buildings
• The role includes preparation of plans, specification and drawings to ensure the effective and timely delivery of best value services that comply with all statutory building and design requirements
• Document control and filing

• In depth knowledge of current BIM versions
• Strong written and verbal communication
  skills
• Knowledge of Windows environments,
  advanced working knowledge of word
  processing, spreadsheets, email, web enabled
  applications and database software
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to use time productively, maximize
  efficiency and meet deadlines
• Promotes knowledge transfer to the Revit team
• General understanding of Planning and Building Regulations
