Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Graduate Building Physics Engineer to join our Manila office. This role is open for mechanical engineering graduates with passion and interest to pursue a career in Computational Building Dynamics (CFD) for commercial, high rise, healthcare, and technology and data centre projects.

This role is responsible for provide CFD support on data centre projects and other building types. The successful candidate will undertake steady state and transient CFD studies of data centres and other building types to ensure that all the design can ensure the required internal conditions can be achieved. He/she will also provide support on sustainability and building physics aspects of projects in support of the wider project MEP design teams.

Responsibilities
  • Act as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to support successful preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support
  • Undertake steady state and transient CFD studies of data centres to ensure that all the design can ensure the required internal conditions can be achieved
  • Use CFD to assess occupant comfort both internal and external
  • Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements
  • Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams
  • Preparation of specification modifications (word or excel)
  • Ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards
  • Responsible for validation of Intermediate & Graduate Engineer input into designs
  • Works on defined tasks under limited supervision with some autonomy
  • Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work
  • Responsible for producing routine letters and/or reports and other documents from standard templates. Responsible for the effective organisation of information and documentation, e.g. filing, QA etc.
  • Responsible for meeting agreed deadlines
Requirements
  • Basic working knowledge of CAD functionality
  • Basic understanding of key health and safety issues and legislation
  • Knowledge in MS Office such as Word, Excel
  • Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software
  • Basic understanding of BS standards
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work on deadlines
Qualifications
  • Has a relevant degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification or sufficient experience.
  • Student member of an appropriate professional body, such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, IET, MinstMC, MIHEEM.
