Reporting to Lead Design Manager, the purpose of this role is to work in collaboration with and drive the technical experts and design partners to deliver top quality designs to our clients that is second to none.

The ideal candidate will have experience in design management of multidisciplinary Data Centre projects and will be responsible for the overall management administration of our LDC projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manages client commercially from awarding to final account.
  • Oversees commercial management of subcontract packages from outsourcing to final account.
  • Reviews contracts, identifies deliverables, and prepares contract review reports.
  • Establishes control systems for managing client and subcontract changes.
  • Analyses and reviews data and documents to identify key themes and trends; makes recommendations to support cost and commercial management decisions.
  • Ensures project management cost processes and standards are consistently applied across all projects.
  • Manages cost monitoring, forecasting, and baseline cost management.
  • Works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Assist design management team by providing advice and recommended actions for compliance with contracts.
  • Advises on risk management and sets up risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
  • Presents project risks or issues to senior managers to prevent adverse impacts.
  • Advises colleagues on risk management, compliance, and related behaviours to ensure adherence processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field required.
  • At least 6 years working experience in the relevant field.
  • Understanding of contract types and the need for timely responses to contractual communications.
  • Commercial and financial project management skills.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with commercial perspective on projects.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Keep clear, concise, and accurate records and reports.
  • Capable of working autonomously, as part of a wider team.
