CIVIL ENGINEER – DUBAI

To act as a Civil Engineer within a multi-disciplined design team, primarily in the development of data centre sites. To provide sound technical support on civil engineering designs, to ensure project requirements and clients’ specifications are fully met.  Apply initiative and ownership to all areas of responsibility.

• Minimum of 3 years technical experience specialising in the design of site infrastructure within building plots.
• Experience of working in an engineering team, preferably within the technology/data centre industry.
• Knowledge of American and Eurocodes.
• Good communication, presentation and mathematical skills.
• Working towards chartered engineer status or equivalent.
• Technical knowledge in primary discipline and a understanding of MEP and structural engineering through all stages of the design process.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or have sufficient equivalent experience.

• Act as part of a design team to ensure successful preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support.
• Monitor and address own training and development requirements.
• Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline.
• Compile specifications, drawings and relevant Contract documents and maintain the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures.
• Provide civil engineering design services to building plot developments.
• Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work and others’
• Represents the team/group/profession/discipline at meetings
• In addition, is responsible for one or more of the following:
  • Manages small projects, work area or technical skill set
  • Responsible for meeting agreed deadlines
