About the role

The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplined team on technically challenging projects, primarily focused on Data Centres. They will manage projects to deliver an excellent service to clients and assist in the ongoing development and growth of the business as a whole, whilst providing sound technical, design and contract management support.

Role Responsibilities
  • The overall performance of the group office / function as part of the management team
  • One or more areas of technology / discipline / sector lead
  • Promoting learning from successes and problems within the group and across the business
  • The development and / or implementation of plans for the longer-term benefit to the office / group
  • Assisting with the recruitment, appraisal, performance, work, development, morale and motivation of specified staff
  • Providing robust directional and honest feedback to staff
  • Organising training needs for groups / teams
  • Financial performance in specified areas (healthy profit / cash flow)
  • Procuring work (Negotiating significant contracts / agreements with customers and or suppliers)
  • CEng (or equivalent) of an appropriate professional body
  • Recognised as an expert within B&W and the industry in own Region
  • Deals with complex escalated problems within own area
  • Ensures healthy profit / cash flow for own area of responsibility
  • Acts with integrity, is straight talking respectful and fair
  • Promotes and enforces a culture of respect and inclusion of all in the business
