QHSE Coordinator

Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, with nearly -750 employees in teams based in our UK, European, Middle East and Asia Pacific offices. We have been providing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultancy services since 2007.

In this role as a Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator, you will be leading on all QHSE matters and improving and maintaining product quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

• Liaising with teams and external bodies (HSEQ Smart & BAB etc.) on QHSE matters
• Auditing QHSE management systems and procedures
• Managing documentation updates for policies and procedures
• Collaborating with the senior QHSE Coordinator, senior management team and HSEQ Smart on training requirements and audits
• Delivering and tracking necessary training following amendments to policies and procedures
• Investigating and reporting accidents and near misses and implementing recommendations
• Conducting risk assessments and maintaining assessment schedules
• Other reasonable duties as appropriate

All roles include responsibility for health and safety in line with the requirements set out in the Employee Handbook.

• Awareness of H&S policies and procedures and impact on yourself and team
• Ensure all staff members complete mandatory compliance training when required
• Report any accidents, incidents, near misses appropriately

• Previous experience in a similar QHSE/HSE/SHEQ role and understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations and procedures are preferred
• Ability to conduct effective mentoring
• Be able to work independently
• Be a multi-tasker
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience of working in SharePoint (desirable)
• Experience of working within a consultancy environment (desirable)
• Appreciation of MEP engineering practices and ways of working (desirable)
