GRADUATE SUSTAINABILITY ENGINEER

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Sustainability Engineer to support the wider multi-disciplinary design team in achieving sustainable design solutions.

This role will be responsible for delivering and assessing a wide range of BREEAM projects to achieve positive design outcomes, whilst providing sound technical and design support.

We’re looking for a professional with experience in sustainability assessments and thermal modelling to highlight sustainability opportunities, preparing assessment reports and ensuring project requirements and clients’ specifications are fully met.

• Manages the LEED certification process on projects
• Compiles and issues feasibility studies and energy reports
• Assists with compiling marketing material relating to sustainability
• Marketing and technical research on renewable energy and other sustainability matters
• Represents the company in technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractor teams
• Responsible for validation of graduate engineers’ input into renewable energy reports and calculations
• Trains junior engineers
• Prepares and presents technical briefings to clients and staff
• Pursues CPD programme including attending training courses and seminars, which includes improving knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering principles and applications
• Familiarises with fee bids and other commercial aspects of the company, including assistance with compiling fee proposals
• Enhances skills in IES modelling to be able to generate output for energy loads and compliance with building regulations

• Registered mechanical engineer with extensive hands-on experience in LEED and sustainable engineering
• Knowledge of LEED
• An accredited LEED AP with experience of achieving LEED certification on projects
• Knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software
• Ability to prioritise own workload
• Ability to work on deadlines
