Black & White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, with nearly 400 employees in teams based in our UK, European, Middle East and Asia Pacific offices. We have been providing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultancy services since 2007.

Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

As a business, our ambition is to be a leading global MEP consultancy and as a purposeful employer, our Finance Team is critical to our overall success. Our Manila operation is one of two global design hubs that support the delivery of projects across our operating regions and is a key component to our success.

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and perform tasks in line with the local reporting requirements in coordination with the local Finance team. In addition, there will be group related tasks in coordination with the Group Finance Team and the CFO to ensure reporting standards are delivered to, consistently and accurately.

The ideal candidate will hold an appropriate degree in Accounting / Finance or an equivalent professional qualification and should have relevant experience in Financial Accounting. Moreover, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the running of finance systems and associated projects, takes responsibility for critical business finance function, monitoring of financial projects and reporting facilities.

You are encouraged to escalate recommendations and plans to ensure that we are providing best-practice support to our teams, in the delivery of your responsibilities and in the smooth running of the Finance function.

Responsibilities
  • Manage & Maintain Project Ledger/Database in D365 – Global Support Role
  • Create the Project number for successful Bid.
  • Input all Relevant information.
  • Ensure fee allocation to specific stages.
  • Monitor Fees, Client invoices & Subconsultant Invoices
  • Create & Execute Internal Controls
  • Provide detailed Reporting as needed.
  • Ensure data accuracy in terms of forecast, fees, client billings, control changes, subconsultant fees.
  • Collection of debts (support)

Ensure timesheets are compiled and reviewed on weekly basis (in D365)

Requirements
  • 8 + years proven working experience in the accounting and finance.
  • Project accounting experience
  • Strong background and knowledge in ERP System- preferably D365
  • Excellent report-writing and English communication skills.
  • Highly organized individual with strong attention to detail
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel.
  • Self-starter demonstrating commitment, a strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to liaise with relevant stakeholders and authorities in Manila.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / Finance or related field
