As part of the Global Power Systems and Infrastructure team, this role will provide ICT design and support expertise to complement and enhance our Mechanical, Electrical and Lead Design Management teams during Site Due Diligence or Land Acquisition activities. This is a leadership role with responsibility for developing a team capable of providing ICT system and security designs for projects delivered by Black & White.
role responsibilities
- Provide expert analysis during Site Due Diligence and Land Acquisition activities
- Capable of producing designs to RIBA stage 4 and beyond
- Preparation of detailed design and specifications for ICT systems, both passive and active
- Understand the integration with BMS / EPMS networks
- Experience in communication room layout, sizing and design
- ICT cabinet and cabling containment design
- Structured cabling design and telecoms planning
- Deep understanding and knowledge of wireless and LAN switch networks
- Understand connected real estate and advise clients on the most feasible design
- Specify the requirements for Installation and configuration of ICT hardware
- Specify the requirements for management and monitoring networks
- Specify the requirements for administering and support of business applications
- Define the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets.
The designs and analysis will extend to other third-party Internet Protocol (IP) based technologies including:
- Security – CCTV and Access Control, intrusion detection
- Intelligent building components
- Common Network Systems (CNS), including integration with third-party MEP services, including but not limited to Lighting Control, BMS, and other building related services and systems
There may be requirements for site inspections, attending client design meetings, witness testing
